In this exercise, we are going to think of 10 things we love about our bodies. Five features and five things it can do or has done. Then we're going to brainstorm five things we can do to listen to, support and love our bodies better for all the wonderful things they do for us. Remember: self-care is self-love.

These can be things like:

  • drink more water

  • exercise more

  • meditate and practice belly-breathing

  • eat cleaner

  • quit unhealthy habits like smoking

  • relax more often

  • sleep when you're tired

  • pay attention to physical counterparts of emotion

...and many other things. Your body is your friend, your closest ally. It's not the enemy. It has messages for you and if you learn to listen to it, if you take steps every day to get to know your body better, a lot can be revealed about what's going on with you.
